今天我們要介紹的Low Power概念是SRPG Cell,全稱State Retention Power Gating Cell(狀態(tài)保持電源門控單元)。這是一種特殊的寄存器,對于一般的寄存器來說,如果斷電以后,原有的數(shù)據(jù)就無法保存,重新連通電源以后,就會出現(xiàn)原有數(shù)據(jù)丟失的情況。因此,我們可以給一些必須保持數(shù)據(jù)的寄存器建立一個類似備份的設(shè)備。電源關(guān)閉前,將寄存器的數(shù)據(jù)保存到備份設(shè)備上;電源打開后,從備份設(shè)備上將數(shù)據(jù)重新寫入寄存器中。
SRPG cell工作在VDD電壓域,是可以關(guān)斷的電壓域,D、Clk、Ret和Q是寄存器的控制和輸出信號。該寄存器在斷電時,會有一部分電源一直有電,也就是Ret電路工作在VDD電壓域,不會被關(guān)閉。當“Save”信號有效,Ret會把寄存器的值保存起來;當"Restore"有效,Ret將保存的數(shù)值寫入寄存器中 。需要注意的是,一個SRPG Cell一般要比普通寄存器面積要大約20%左右。
我們來看一下UPF文件中的SRPG cell:
